Aviaja Rohmann Hansen, priest, has held her last church service in Nuuk for this time. She has got her dream job in Langeland in Denmark.
- Of course I am sad to have to stop as a priest here in Nuuk, but now I want to try something different and it will be good to be a little closer to Jonas (her son, ed.), she writes in a post on Facebook.
She said goodbye to her congregation with a sermon she called “New beginning and new hope. Go with peace”.
She is reportedly the first Greenlandic priest educated at Ilisimatusarfik to be appointed to a position in Denmark.
