Bentiaraq Ottosen is a candidate for the Folketing. The Atassut politician announced this on Facebook on Thursday afternoon, shortly after Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called the election for March 24.

– Kalaallit Nunaat needs a clear voice that can promote our national interests, ensure sustainable development and protect our society and natural resources, writes Bentiaraq Ottosen, among other things.

Bentiaraq Ottosen is 31 years old, comes from Qaqortoq and is one of Atassut's two representatives in Inatsisartut.

In 2025, he was naalakkersuisoq for social affairs, labor market, domestic affairs and the environment. However, he resigned after political criticism of the process surrounding a new job portal.

– I want to work for a Kalaallit Nunaat where our children can grow up in security, our society is strengthened, and where we can ensure the opportunities of future generations through solid and equal cooperation in the realm, writes Bentiaraq Ottosen.
