Two road signs on Eskimovej in Aarhus were stolen on Friday, shortly after Aarhus Municipality announced that Eskimovej will have a new name.
A bounty has now been offered to the person or persons who can help find the signs. This is written by TV2 Østjylland.
It was initially art dealer Erik Guldager, who grew up in Aarhus, who offered a bounty of 10,000 kroner for the signs.
It has since grown to 25,000 kroner after several people have contributed to the pool.
Aarhus Municipality wrote on Thursday that Eskimovej, located in Risskov's so-called polar quarter, will be named Silavej from March 2.
- The Danish Empire is under unprecedented pressure. Therefore, it is more crucial than ever that we treat each other with respect, says Nicolaj Bang, Councillor for Technology and Environment in the municipality, in a press release.
The name change is being made at the request of Det Grønlandske Hus in Aarhus and the Greenlandic student association Avalak, who want a more neutral name.
