King Frederik's visit to Greenland begins on Wednesday, and the Royal House has just published more details about the king's program.
It appears that the king will, among other things, visit a high school and to a coffee party in Nuuk and tour Maniitsoq, where citizens will have the opportunity to say hello.
The royal visit begins with arrival at Nuuk Airport on Wednesday at 11:30, where the king will be received by the chairman of Naalakkersuisut, Jens-Frederik Nielsen (D), and the chairman of Inatsisartut, Kim Kielsen (S).
High school visit and coffee meeting
Afterwards, lunch will be held at Hans Egedes Hus, hosted by Jens-Frederik Nielsen.
At 1:30 p.m., the King will visit GUX Nuuk, where he will be given a tour of the school and meet the school's students.
After high school, King Frederik will visit Royal Greenland, where he will meet students from Arctic Basic Education and visit the Arctic Command headquarters in Nuuk.
Then, at 3:45 p.m., he will attend a coffee meeting in Katuaq, where citizens will have the opportunity to greet the King:
- The King will participate in a traditional coffee meeting in the Katuaq cultural center. The coffee meeting is open to the public and gives the King the opportunity to meet citizens from Nuuk, writes the Royal House.
Wednesday's program will conclude with a dinner at Hans Egedes Hus.
Tour and coffee break in Maniitsoq
On Thursday, the trip will take place in Maniitsoq, where the King will arrive at the city airport at 11:15.
He will be received by 1st Deputy Mayor Gideon Lyberth from Qeqqata Municipality, and then the municipal council will host a lunch.
At 12:30, the King will be shown around the city and will have the opportunity to greet citizens, and he will then visit the company Maniitsoq Lodges, which is run by young entrepreneurs.
After this, the King will go out into the countryside around Maniitsoq, where the King will gain insight into the area's nature and wildlife, and at 2:45 p.m. there will be a coffee break in the community center in Maniitsoq.
Visit to education in Kangerlussuaq
On Thursday afternoon, King Frederik will fly on to Kangerlussuaq, where he will arrive at 17:30.
Here he will have the opportunity to greet local citizens at 17:50 at the YMCA's soldiers' home in Kangerlussuaq.
On Friday at 09:00 the King will visit the Arctic Basic Training School, and the last program item for the royal visit is at 10:00 on Friday, when King Frederik will visit the basic training camp in the Black Ridge terrain.
Here the students will present their camp and share experiences of operating in the terrain.
