There are currently cyberattacks - so-called DDoS attacks - against Greenlandic websites. The Danish Agency for Social Security informs Ritzau.
- We are closely monitoring the situation and are in ongoing dialogue with relevant authorities in Denmark and Greenland about the current attacks, the agency writes in a written comment.
When we talk about DDoS attacks, it means that someone is trying to overload websites or networks so that they do not work and can be accessed.
The Danish Agency for Social Security does not state which websites are in question.

Russian group: Attack is revenge for fighter jets to Ukraine
DR writes that according to the media, the Russian hacker group NoName057 (16) is behind the attacks.
TV2 writes in an update that the group has taken responsibility for the cyberattacks, as stated in the group's forum on the encrypted messaging service Telegram.
In this regard, the group writes, according to TV 2, that the attacks are being carried out in revenge for Denmark donating fighter jets to Ukraine.
NoName057(16) has been active since March 2022 and frequently carries out DDoS attacks against authorities and companies in NATO countries and other European countries that are considered to be against Russian interests.
The same hacker group was behind attacks on the websites of Danish municipalities and ministries during the municipal elections in Denmark in November last year.
