Another prominent politician chooses to leave Siumut. It is Kim Kielsen who informed KNR that after 41 years in the party, he is choosing to leave the party.

- I completely agree with Vivian Motzfeldt that the decision that Siumut left the naalakkersuisut cooperation on Friday was wrong and based on an incomprehensible and insufficient basis.

- You cannot simply ignore the mandate that the citizens have given, and Siumut has never had the goal of acting without direction and without having influence, it says in a press release sent to KNR.

This means that Siumut loses two prominent politicians after the party chose to withdraw from the coalition on Friday.

On Friday, both Vivian Motzfeldt and Kim Kielsen told Sermitsiaq that they do not agree with the central board's decision to withdraw the party from the coalition and would prefer that the party work for the community and for the interests of society.

Kim Kielsen informed Sermitsiaq on Friday that he disagreed with the central board's reasoning for withdrawing from the coalition.

Kim Kielsen was chairman of Siumut from 2014 to 2020 and has also been chairman of Naalakkersuisut.
