At a press conference in Nuuk, Vice Chairman of Naalakkersusiut, Múte B. Egede, says that it is important that Greenland has closer dialogue with other nations.

- Very shortly we will also have a dialogue with countries that are members of NATO. And we will initiate a greater preparedness and have cooperation with party members. And will discuss the cases as soon as possible, also in Inatsisartut, he says.

He also reiterates the message of the President of the Greenlandic Government, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, that it is important for society to stand together.

- We are a small population, but with the focus on the outside world, where we are focused on Greenland, it is absolutely necessary that we care for each other, he says.

Dialogue in progress

Múte B. Egede also talks about the meeting that has just taken place in the USA between Greenland, Denmark and the USA.

- We have initiated the dialogue, it is a step in the positive direction, but the status is still a bit unclear, but we have initiated a dialogue in the right channels, he says.

He says that in the coming time, the public can expect more press conferences to keep them informed about the situation.

Múte B. Egede says that Greenland is under pressure from other countries.

- The most important task is how we will shape the future in the future. Therefore, we must ensure that we have the right foundation.

Just as the Danish Minister of Defense, Troels Lund Poulsen, said at a press conference in Denmark earlier today, Múte B. Egede also says that there will be more military presence in Greenland in the future.
