Ninni Jeremiassen has obtained her PhD from Aarhus University after a successful defense conducted in collaboration with the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources and Gothenburg University. The institute writes on its Facebook page.

In her research, she has investigated pollution from the former cryolite mine in Ivittuut and documented how minerals can release harmful substances under Arctic conditions. Her results provide important new knowledge about the environmental impacts of historical mining.

Ninni is now continuing her work in a postdoctoral position at Pinngortitaleriffik.
