The letter, which is available on the municipality's website, emphasizes that the interest in strategic raw materials, including rare earths and minerals, must not lead to pressure or circumvention of applicable regulations. According to the mayor, neither financial promises nor jobs must be used as an argument to disregard the law, environmental concerns or local support.
The letter also emphasizes that any cooperation with international actors requires respect for Greenland's political institutions, self-determination and international alliances.

In a time of great international attention and unrest, Naalakkersuisut's Ministers of Health and Children, Anna Wangenheim and Nivi Olsen, have held a press conference on well-being and mental health. This is reported by sermitsiaq.gl.
The press conference focused on how citizens can take care of their mental health amid the 24/7 news cycle. Ministers are urging people to choose trustworthy news sources, consider taking breaks from social media and prioritise good daily habits. It was stressed that healthcare is available 24/7 and that parents have an important role in providing reassurance to their children by talking to them about the situation in a calm and sensible way.
