The Greenland Police have cordoned off an area and evacuated Sisimiut Airport.

This is happening after a bomb threat.

The police write this on Facebook.

They ask that citizens respect the cordon and evacuation.

Around 14:15, the Greenland Police write in a new post on Facebook that the evacuation and cordon have just been lifted.

- Thank you for the good peace and order, the police write.

The Greenland Police received a report from Sisimiut Airport at 12:55 that there was a bomb threat.

- We then worked from there and, among other things, evacuated the airport. We have arrested a man who will be questioned and charged, says Chief of Staff at the Greenland Police Aqqalu Petersen.

He says that normal operations are now back at the airport. He cannot give further details about what happened at the airport.
