On Sunday morning, Chief of Police Aputsiaq Hansen reported on a long list of tasks for the Greenland Police over the past 24 hours.
Among other things, the police found a large amount of hashish during a search at an address in Maniitsoq.
- Between 900 and 1,000 grams and some cash were found, says the duty officer.
The police have arrested a suspect in the case, the investigation is ongoing. A decision will be made on Sunday whether the man should be produced in court for detention.
Pot fire in Qaqortoq
The chief of police also reports a small fire in Qaqortoq. The police were notified at 9:44 p.m. Saturday evening and responded to the address.
The firefighters gained access to the apartment, and there was a fire in a pot on a stove.
A man was sleeping in the home, and he has now been charged in the case, the chief of police says.
Tasersuaq (Great Lake) is closed again
In Qaqortoq, Tasersuaq (Great Lake) is now reported as unsafe.
The duty officer says that the lake has been open to traffic, but the deputy emergency manager in the city now states that several holes have appeared in the ice.

Drunk driving and rape case
The duty officer also reports a traffic accident in Nuusuaq in Nuuk. The police caught the driver, who turned out to be under the influence of alcohol.
There were no injuries.
On Sunday morning at 5:12 a.m., a driver was also stopped during a routine check.
The driver, a man, however, blew his breathalyzer above the legal limit and was therefore arrested for a blood test.
On Sunday night, the police also received a report of rape in Nuuk. The investigation is ongoing and one person has been arrested.
