The map shows several Greenlandic towns, including Pituffik, where Pituffik Space Base - Thule Air Base - is located. It is a US military base in Greenland from 1952.
In recent weeks, Trump has repeatedly said that the United States needs Greenland for national security reasons. He has not ruled out using military force.
This has created high political tension internationally. Denmark's Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen (S), has turned up the rhetoric against Trump, saying that if a NATO ally threatens another ally, "everything stops."
Denmark has received support from major NATO countries such as Great Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Poland in its attempt to dissuade Donald Trump from his plans.
The Greenland Government wrote on its website on Monday evening that Greenland is part of the Commonwealth and will increase political work to ensure that the defense of the world's largest island takes place under the auspices of the NATO defense alliance.
