The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has responded to journalists on statements from Prime Minister and Chairman of the Greenlandic Parliament Jens-Frederik Nielsen.
This was reported by Bloomberg late Tuesday evening Danish time.
Jens-Frederik Nielsen said at a press conference on Tuesday that Greenland stands in its own right and does not want to be part of the United States, but Denmark.
The statements will be a big problem for the Greenlandic leader, says Trump when asked about the matter by the press.
- That's their problem. I disagree with them. I don't know who he (Jens-Frederik Nielsen, ed.) is, I don't know anything about him, but it's going to be a big problem for him, says Trump.
