US President Donald Trump is once again refusing to say clearly how far he is willing to go to gain control of Greenland.
"You'll find out," he tells a reporter during a press conference at the White House.
The press conference will be held on Tuesday, marking the first year of Trump's second presidential term.
On Wednesday, he is expected to speak at a summit at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where his desire for control over Greenland has been a major theme.
- We have many meetings planned about Greenland, and I think it will go very well, Trump says at the press conference.
The US president is also asked whether he is willing to let the Western military alliance NATO break up to gain control of Greenland.
- I think we'll figure something out where NATO is going to be very happy, and we're going to be very happy, says Trump, again claiming that the US "needs Greenland" for security reasons.
Over the weekend, he threatened Denmark and seven other European countries with tariff increases on February 1st if the US and Denmark cannot agree on a deal for Greenland.
At the same time, he lashed out at Western countries that had sent soldiers to Greenland as part of a Danish-led military exercise.
