Two people stabbed in Nuuk

The Greenland Police have received several reports of violence in the past 24 hours.

Two people have been stabbed. One of them needs to be evacuated to Denmark.

On January 5, the Greenland Police received a report of a person who was badly bruised and had been stabbed with a knife on January 2. The incident occurred in Nuuk, and the person is hospitalized at Queen Ingrid's Hospital, but will be evacuated to Denmark.

The police are investigating the case.

Last night, another stabbing was reported. There had been a fight at a pub in Nuuk, where a person was stabbed in the body. It was not life-threatening, and the person has been discharged from the hospital again.

- We see it as a serious incident, and that is why we are investigating it, says the chief of police.
