Woman did not remember her own report for violence

The 42-year-old man accused of the Blok 5 murder is also accused of violence. It should have happened a few months earlier, according to the indictment.

On Tuesday morning, the Sermersooq Circuit Court will hear a witness, who is on video from Denmark, to tell more. It is not going so well.

– I don't even know what it is about, says the woman.

The woman has reported the man for hitting her several times in the head. It should have happened in July 2024 in Nuussuaq.

But she seems confused and does not seem to remember events from that time.

The prosecutor decides to drop the witness. It will be seen later whether she will also drop the charge of violence.

The 42-year-old has pleaded not guilty to both the murder in Block 5 and to having beaten the woman in question.

A large red stain

Earlier this morning we heard from a property assistant who worked in Block 5, and two neighbors from Block 6.

The property assistant had not seen anything particularly suspicious. But the neighbors told us how they had noticed some mattresses put down for bulky waste.

“There was a large red stain on one of the mattresses,” one of them said.

However, the witness did not initially know that there was a large amount of blood. She had thought it could also be red wine or something else, she said.

Presumably all these explanations serve to get closer to when exactly the murder took place.
