Elizabeth Lynge Hansen from Maniitsoq, Anthon Davidsen from Sisimiut and Petrus Jessen from Napasoq has been awarded honorary prizes in Qeqqata Kommunia. This is stated by the municipality in a press release.
Every year, Qeqqata Municipality awards honorary awards in the form of diplomas and cash prizes to citizens who have made special contributions.
The honorary award in Maniitsoq went to 67-year-old Elisabeth Lynge Hansen. She was honored for her many years of work with various associations in the town.
- Elisabeth has been a member of Neriuffik Maniitsoq since 1990, where she still holds important positions. In addition, she has been chairman of Neriuffik Greenland for several years. In addition to her work in Neriuffik, she has worked in Ikioqatigiiffik for 17 years. She has worked with the disability association for 14 years and has also been a member of the car owners association, writes the municipality.
In Sisimut, this year's honorary award was awarded to Anthon Davidsen, 46 years old.
- As an adult, Anthon, in addition to being a regular member of the choir, has also helped lead the choirs, and is generally an enthusiastic choir member, the press release states.
Last but not least, Napasoq honored Petrus Jessen (Piitaannaq), 82 years old, for his great efforts in fishing and hunting.
- Petrus Jessen acquired a fishing boat as a young man together with his brother. He has thus helped develop the fishing and hunting area in Napasoq, writes Qeqqata Kommunia.
