On Saturday at 1 pm, a demonstration has been called against the US's plans to take over Greenland, and the same is now happening in two other cities.
In Aasiaat there will also be a demonstration at 1 pm. The demonstration will start at the hall followed by a procession towards the municipal office:
- We encourage participants to show unity, bring a Greenlandic flag, take good care of each other and treat each other with respect. Racism, violence and vandalism are not accepted, the organizers write in a post on Facebook.
A demonstration has now been called in Qaqortoq with the headline 'Greenland is owned by Greenlanders', and the organizers want to show support for the other demonstrations.
The demonstration will take place at the city fountain, where there will be speeches, and participants are encouraged to bring Erfalasorput.
