The defense needs space to store equipment, and therefore the Greenland Police has given consent to the establishment of a temporary military area on the outskirts of Qinngorput.
This is stated by the Greenland Police in a press release.
It will be in the area known as ‘The End of the World’. Containers are already stored in the area, among other things.
There will be continuous security in the area, and no unauthorized persons will have access to the cordoned off area. Safety and the local area have been taken into consideration, and relevant signs and cordons have been erected to guide road users and pedestrians.
