Monday afternoon at 3:47 p.m., Greenland Police received a report of a violent incident at an address in Nuuk. This was reported by Chief of Police Poul Kreutzmann to Sermitsiaq.
The police responded and arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with the incident.
The man is suspected of violence against a 64-year-old, and the Chief of Police describes the violence as family-related. The victim is doing well under the circumstances, according to the Chief of Police.
The 42-year-old man has several other pending cases of violent crime, and it has therefore been decided that the man will be produced in the District Court later on Tuesday for detention.
