Aleqa Hammond continues to disagree with two Naalakkersuisut members running for the Folketing elections. She has made this clear to the chairman of Naalakkersuisut, Jens Frederik Nielsen (D).
- I have made it clear to him that it is stated in Naalakkersuisut's Accountability Act that being Naalakkersuisut is a full-time job. You cannot do anything else on the side.
- As I see it now, the two members of Naalakkersuisut are doing something other than their profession when they are out and about. They are out and about because they have another interest – in short, because they want a different job.
- We can't live with that. I also can't understand why he, as the Chairman of Naalakkersuisut, hasn't asked them to take leave, says Aleqa Hammond.
Main board meets
The two party chairmen did not agree during yesterday's meeting.
- We agree to disagree, she says.
Two Naalakkersuisoq positions are currently unfilled, as Mads Pedersen and Bentiaraq Ottosen have resigned. In addition, two members of Naalakkersuisut are campaigning for the Folketing, which worries Aleqa Hammond.
- There are four departments that do not have naalakkersuisoq.
Siumut's board of directors is meeting today, Hammond says:
- We will decide what we decide there.
What time is the meeting today?
- Today, I can't say more, concludes Aleqa Hammond.
