Nuup Bussii A/S's website may have an unstable connection today. The bus company reports this on its Facebook page and states that it is due to an ongoing cyber attack.
This is not the first time this year that Greenlandic websites have experienced cyber attacks.
At the end of February, Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq also reported a DDoS attack, where the attack meant an overload of the network.
Earlier this month, the Danish Police Intelligence Service (PET), the Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) and the Danish Agency for Social Security (SAMSIK) prepared a threat assessment showing that the Kingdom of Denmark may be a particular area for cyber attacks during the election campaign.
According to the threat assessment, it is very likely that Denmark is an independent, prioritized target for Russian influence activities such as disinformation, i.e. the deliberate spread of false or distorted messages, smaller-scale cyberattacks, such as denial-of-service attacks, and threats of serious cyberattacks.
