King Frederik has been in Greenland from Monday to Thursday, where he was on a sledge trip with the Sirius Patrol.
The Royal House announced this on its official website and on Instagram Saturday morning.
- I can never get enough of Greenland, writes King Frederik and continues:
- Spent a few days this week on a sledge trip with the Sirius Patrol. After a stopover in Mestersvig, where it turned into a quick table football match, we started out at Hvalrosodden, passed by Aalborg Hus and ended up in Daneborg, from where the first sledge team set out 75 years ago.
Since then, over 500 skilled Sirius personnel have patrolled the rugged and beautiful national park, King Frederik continues, expressing his "deepest respect" to everyone who has been there.
- Thank you to Sirius for the opportunity to once again feel the rush of nature's unparalleled forces, he adds.
It was not until Saturday noon that the royal family's official calendar showed that the king had been north.
