After 30 years at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, most recently as head of the Department of Fish and Shellfish, Helle Siegstad has passed on the baton.

She was praised by colleagues and partners for her great efforts at a well-deserved reception.

Since her appointment in 1992, she has been a central figure in the development of the institute and research into fishery resources, according to a post on the institute's Facebook page.

In recent years, she has had a particular focus on the institute's research vessels and their development. Helle will continue for a period with selected tasks, including strengthening the use of the vessels.
