Chief of Security Preben Kleist says that the police received a report of a bomb threat at Nuuk Airport on Monday morning.
Airport staff initiated an evacuation of the airport in this connection.
The chief of security says that the police responded to the scene, and here the police have arrested a suspect 17-year-old boy who allegedly made the threat.
The chief of security says that the blockade and evacuation of the airport have been lifted after the police investigated and interviewed the 17-year-old.
Charges have been filed against the 17-year-old, and police lawyers will now assess the case.
This is the second time within two weeks that a report of a bomb threat has been received at Nuuk Airport. On Tuesday, March 17, the police also responded when a man had talked about a bomb at the airport.
