The Greenland Police received a report of violence in a home on Wednesday evening around 10 p.m.
This is what Chief of Police Malik Olesen tells Sermitsiaq.
- The person had initially gone to the emergency room and was treated for his injuries, and then he contacted the police. Later that night, around 2:30 a.m., we arrested a suspect in the case, says Malik Olesen.
- The violence occurred at an address, i.e. in a home in the city center, he explains.
He states that the case is being investigated as violence, and that the police must conduct a legal assessment before making a decision on whether the suspect should be produced for a constitutional hearing.
