Three Naalakkersuisut on their way to Tasiilaq

Three members of Naalakkersuisut are on their way to Tasiilaq after several years of calls from the city's citizens, who have wanted greater political attention to local challenges.

The Self-Government informs that the three Naalakkersuisut, the Chairman of Naalakkersuisut Jens-Frederik Nielsen, Naalakkersuisoq for housing, infrastructure, outlying districts and emergency preparedness Iddimanngiiu Jensen Bianco and Naalakkersuisoq for fisheries, hunting, agriculture and self-sufficiency Peter Borg, will be in Tasiilaq from Saturday to Wednesday.

- The purpose of the visit is to meet with citizens, local actors, institutions and businesses and discuss social conditions, the chairman's department writes in a short statement.

During the visit, dialogue is expected with both citizens and local actors about a number of challenges that have characterized the area for a long time. The presence of the Greenland Government will also help strengthen cooperation and ensure that decisions are based to a greater extent on local needs.

In connection with the trip, the Greenland Government invites citizens of Tasiilaq to a coffee meeting in the community center on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
