On Monday at 2:39 p.m., a report was received of an avalanche developing near Nuuk and two people at risk who had gone out into the area on a snowmobile.
The police and other authorities took action, and a SAR operation was launched.
The two people are located in an area called Nedkørslen, approximately 15 minutes by snowmobile northeast of the city.
They are now being taken to Nuuk for treatment, according to Chief of Staff Brian Thomsen.
