Royal Greenland hires new production director

Tom Kaster will be the new production director at Royal Greenland, and he will live in Nuuk and take up his position on June 1.

Royal Greenland has just hired a new Executive Vice President for production.

Tom Kaster will take up the position on June 1st of this year. He will live in Nuuk and will be based at Royal Greenland's head office in the city.

Royal Greenland writes this in a press release.

As Production Director, he will have overall responsibility for the operation of all Royal Greenland's land-based factories and land facilities in Greenland and internationally.

Old acquaintance

Tom Kaster has previously been a central part of Royal Greenland's management. For a number of years, he was in charge of land-based production in Greenland.

According to Royal Greenland, Tom Kaster thus has in-depth knowledge of both production.

He returns to Royal Greenland after several years in international management positions in the food industry. According to the company, he has experience in managing global supply chains and production environments, where he has been responsible for factories, purchasing, logistics, quality, employee well-being and digitalization, as well as working with strategy and investments.

Royal Greenland has not had a permanent production director since Lars Nielsen resigned at the end of February last year.

As mentioned, Tom Kaster, as Production Director, will have overall responsibility for operating factories and onshore facilities throughout Royal Greenland.

The goal is to ensure high food safety, stable supplies and efficient operations.

With the appointment of Tom Kaster, five out of six members of the Group Management Team will reside in Greenland from June 1.
