Holmen's Church was filled up to almost the last seat, when church minister Morten Dahlin on Wednesday 3 December had invited everyone in The Folketing for a Christmas concert with artists from across the Commonwealth. Among the audience were several members of parliament.
The event was opened by the Danish university choir "lille MUKO", who sang a potpourri of several Christmas carols.
Nina Kreutzmann Jørgensen was invited from Greenland. She sang "Silarsuaq Takuiuk" and "Naluara".
Teitur came from the Faroe Islands with the songs "Højens Top", "Nú brestur á vid vesturætt" and "Untrolighedens frø".
The concert ended with "Dejlig er Jorden", where the first verse was sung in Faroese, the second verse in Greenlandic and the third verse by everyone in the church in Danish.
The concert, which lasted an hour, was conducted by Ole Faurschou, while Holmens Church's permanent organist Jakob Lorentzen sat by the keys.
