Naalakkersuisoq for Education, Culture, Sports and Church Nivi Olsen (D) has just appointed members to the Greenlandic Language Board for the next period.
These five people have been elected to the board from 2026 through 2029:
1) Tikaajaat Kristensen 2) Kasper Skifte 3) Mette Larsen Lyberth 4) Jens Thorin 5) Kikkik Olsen
The Greenlandic Language Board aims to preserve, promote and strengthen the Greenlandic language. The board's members are appointed based on recommendations from institutions and professional organizations.
– I look forward to following the committee's continued work under the leadership of the new members and wish everyone a good and constructive collaboration, says Nivi Olsen.
It is not known who will be the chairman. The Language Board Act states that the appointed members must decide for themselves.
