Five members appointed to the language board

Naalakkersuisut has appointed new members to the Greenland Language Board for the next four years.

Naalakkersuisoq for education, culture, sports and church Nivi Olsen (D) has just appointed members to the Greenland Language Board for the next term.

These five people have been elected to the board from 2026 to 2029:

1) Tikaajaat Kristensen
2) Kasper Skifte
3) Mette Larsen Lyberth
4) Jens Thorin
5) Kikkik Olsen

The Greenland Language Board aims to preserve, promote and strengthen the Greenlandic language. The board's members are appointed based on recommendations from institutions and professional organisations.

- I look forward to following the committee's continued work under the leadership of the new members and wish everyone a good and constructive collaboration, says Nivi Olsen.

It has not been announced who will be chairman. The Act on the Language Board states that the appointed members must find out for themselves.
