HH and Kimmernaq for Pan-ArcticVision

Pan-ArcticVision is a response to the need to arctic areas that cannot participate under their own flag in international arenas, such as the Olympics or Eurovision.

When the musicians HH and the Kimmernaq were told to participate in the Pan-Arctic Vision, they believed first, that their role was simply to provide a musical feature. First later they found out that they actually had to enter as contestants in the competition.

- Before the joy and the excitement set in, we were a little nervous. But ajunngilaq, it will probably be funny, we thought. Slowly we began to accept it, says Hans-Henrik Suersaq Poulsen.

Kimmernaq and HH are joined on stage by guitarist Jaqqa Petersen, who lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut, and works as co-director of the Alianait Arts Festival.

- The music genre, we must use, is an electronic mix with traditional elements, among other Greenlandic drum and song, says Hans-Henrik Suersaq Poulsen.

He hopes to that they will do well at the competition and are happy to hear the others participants.

- It is always desirable to strive for the best possible result, regardless of what you work with. But it will of course be a big plus if we won. But the most important thing for me is that we have fun, says Hans-Henrik Suersaq Poulsen.

Pan-ArcticVision 2025 takes place on 29 November in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
