Four cases of drunk driving in Nuuk

On Sunday night, four drivers were arrested for drunk driving.

Chief of Police Aqqalu Petersen tells Sermitsiaq that the past 24 hours at the police have been marked by tasks in the form of house riots and street disorder.

In addition, there have also been no fewer than four cases of drunk driving, all in Nuuk.

Three of the cases were stopped in the Nuussuaq district, while one was stopped in the Nuuk city center.

The drivers were stopped during the night between 00:36 and 05:01. In all the cases, the drivers were men, who were arrested and taken for blood sampling.

The chief of police says that the police also received a report of a violent incident at an address in Nuuk at 03:41.

The victim in the case is 21 years old, and the police have not yet arrested a perpetrator as of Sunday morning, but the case is being investigated.

In Sisimiut, the police are investigating a case of threats to life. The incident was reported at 04.42.
