On Wednesday afternoon, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Nuuk on Svend Jungep Aqqutaa. The police received the report at 1:07 p.m.
This is according to the chief of police at the Greenland Police, Aqqalu Petersen to Sermitsiaq.
The fire broke out in an apartment, and two adults and three children were evacuated. The fire was extinguished without spreading from the apartment.
Some of the evacuees were taken to Queen Ingrid's Hospital to be examined, but no one was injured.
The police do not yet know the cause of the fire, an investigation will first be carried out.
The apartment has now been released, and its residents have been rehoused, the chief of police said.
