Simon Petersen, a merchant in Aappilattoq, marked a special anniversary when he was celebrated for 50 years of faithful service in KGH and KNI A/S. KNI announces this on its Facebook page.

- Simon began his working life in 1971 shortly after his confirmation, where he, among other things, fetched ice for the settlement's water supply, writes KNI.

Later, Simon Petersen was employed by KGH and has since been part of the development from manual work and supply ships to today's digital solutions.

Surrounded by colleagues, Simon Petersen is celebrated in Aappilattoq, where his 50th anniversary at KNI A/S is marked with both smiles and words of appreciation.

- Today, he is a central figure in the settlement - known for his commitment, strong collaboration and his ability to always get things done, often ahead of schedule, the announcement states.

Ten years ago, Simon Petersen was awarded the Queen's Medal of Merit in silver in connection with his 40th anniversary at KNI A/S.
