Updated: The flight from Billund has flown to Kangerlussuaq.

Today's Atlantic flight from Billund to Nuuk has been diverted due to the strong winds in Nuuk.

Air Greenland stated on its website on Wednesday morning that the flight from Billund could risk having to fly to Kangerlussuaq due to the conditions in Nuuk.

Data on the website Flightradar24 shows that the plane was heading towards Kangerlussuaq, then it turned around and flew towards Nuuk, after which it flew again towards Kangerlussuaq, where it landed.

- In the event that the plane has to land in Kangerlussuaq, travelers who were supposed to take the flight from Nuuk will expect to receive a new itinerary, writes Air Greenland.

Air Greenland stated in a previous update that today's domestic flights may also be affected by gales and strong gusts of wind in Nuuk on Wednesday.

- It is a good idea for travelers flying with Dash8 to keep an eye on their email and SMS as delays may occur, writes Air Greenland.

Air Greenland is sticking to a flight between Nuuk and Kulusuk.
