Democracy supports, that Inatsisartut meet earlier than planned so that members can discuss the current situation and ensure a fair and united political debate on Greenland's course. That's what Bo Martinsen says, speaking on behalf of Demokraatit and the main board.
- We have discussed the current situation, and we understand the need to know our position - especially with regard to the fact that we must stand together externally, says Bo Martinsen.

- We have discussed the current situation, and we understand the need to know our position - especially with regard to the fact that we must stand together externally, says Bo Martinsen.
He emphasizes that it is natural that Inatsisartut's members get the opportunity to have a political debate about the situation and agree on the next steps.
- It is entirely appropriate that Inatsisartut members can have a political debate about the current situation and find a common political course and the next steps, he says.
Thanks Naalakkersuisut
Demokraatit also emphasizes that Naalakkersuisut has already left a clear mark in the political handling of the situation.
- Having said that, we would like to thank Naalakkersuisut for the work they have put in so far, says Bo Martinsen.
He points out that Greenland's security policy framework today is based, among other things, on the Commonwealth of Nations and thus the association with NATO.
- With the Commonwealth, we are part of NATO and thus protected by the alliance, and our allies in Europe support us, he says.
Jens-Frederik: Greenland is not for sale
Naalakkersuisut chairman Jens-Frederik Nielsen has stated in this connection that Greenland is not for sale - and the statement came when he was standing together with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
- One thing everyone must understand. Greenland will not be owned by the United States. Greenland will not be governed by the United States. Greenland will not be part of the United States, said Jens-Frederik Nielsen. At the same time, he emphasized that Greenland is part of the Kingdom, and that in the current situation the country seeks dialogue with respect for Greenland's constitutional position and the Greenlanders' right to self-determination.
Jens-Frederik Nielsen further said that if Greenland has to choose here and now, then you choose the Kingdom, the EU and NATO.
