24-hour report: Woman kicks police officer

The police went to help a woman in Nuuk. But she turned out to be very ungrateful.

Chief Aputsiaq Hansen and the police's 24-hour report violence against a police officer. It happened in Nuussuaq around three o'clock in the morning between Friday and Saturday.

The police had received a report that a woman had gone to sleep outside in the cold. But after the police arrived at the scene, she became violent and kicked a police officer, the chief of police reports.

The police arrested the woman and placed her in detention. She can now look forward to a legal aftermath.

Moderation is good

Alcohol was again a factor in many incidents between Friday and Saturday. Two men were arrested for drunk driving in Nuuk and Nuussuaq, respectively, and there was street disorder and unrest in homes.

– People need to think about the consequences before drinking too much. They need to take responsibility, both for themselves and for the safety of others, says Aputsiaq Hansen.

He also reminds young people that they can always call or write to Tusaannga if they experience thoughts of suicide or other problems in their lives.
