A fire in a waste reception facility has resulted in road closures in Tasiilaq on Sunday evening.
The Greenland Police state that police and fire departments were present at the facility, which is located on the Eqqaavimmut road in Tasiilaq.
The roads towards Eqqaavimmut were closed, and residents in the area near Napparngummut were asked to close doors and windows.
At 10:35 p.m. on Sunday evening, the police wrote in an update that the fire had been extinguished, but that citizens were still asked to respect the road closures at the site.
