Flight had to return to Nuuk

A plane had to return to Nuuk Airport on Thursday morning. The plane landed without problems, the police report.

The Greenland Police inform Sermitsiaq that a plane had to return to Nuuk on Thursday morning.

- The plane landed without any problems, says Jørgen Madsen from the Greenland Police.

According to Jørgen Madsen, the plane had reported some minor engine problems, and therefore it turned around and landed in Nuuk, after circling southeast of the city.

The plane was originally on its way to Ilulissat.

The incident led to several emergency services being called to the airport:

- The procedure in such a situation is that we have to stand by so that we are prepared, explains Jørgen Madsen.

The police were present at Nuuk Airport on Thursday morning in connection with a plane returning to Nuuk.
