The Greenland Police are investigating an accident in Sisimiut.
Initial investigations indicate that a man has fallen during a mountain hike and died as a result of the fall.
- Initial investigations indicate that the man appears to be a foreigner. There have been no reports of missing persons in the area. Therefore, it appears that the deceased is a tourist. However, we are still investigating this, and therefore it has not yet been confirmed, says Chief of Staff at the Greenland Police, Poul Kreutzmann.
The discovery of the dead person was reported to the police on Monday evening at 7:43 PM by snowmobile drivers, who initially reported abandoned things. A short time later, the same people reported to the police that a dead man had been found not far from the things.
