Talks between the US, Iran and Pakistan have begun in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
A Pakistani source said this according to Reuters.
The news agency also quotes the Iranian news agency Fars as saying that talks have begun.
It is unclear whether these are concrete negotiations.
The US and Iran have been invited to Islamabad by Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif.
Prior to the negotiations, he helped broker a two-week ceasefire between the two countries.
The ceasefire was announced on Wednesday night.
The Iranian delegation arrived in Islamabad on Friday evening Danish time. It is led by the Iranian Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Meanwhile, the US delegation, which arrived on Saturday morning Danish time, is led by Vice President J.D. Vance.
Also part of the delegation are US envoys Jared Kushner, who is Donald Trump's son-in-law, and Steve Witkoff.
The US and Israel launched the war against Iran on February 28. According to President Donald Trump, the aim was to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons and long-range missiles that could reach the US.
The temporary ceasefire includes an opening of the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran closed after the US and Israeli attacks. About a fifth of the world's oil is transported through the strait.
The ceasefire between the US and Iran was announced on Wednesday night. There has been disagreement over whether Lebanon is covered by the agreement.
Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf demanded on Friday that two conditions be met before Iran will begin negotiations.
First, the ceasefire must include Lebanon, and second, frozen Iranian assets must be released.
