From today, all Greenlandic users can use Mobilepay with their regular Greenlandic phone numbers and receive a fully translated Greenlandic version in the app. This is what the Bank of Greenland writes in a statement.
The digital payment solution has been updated today, making it possible for users to access the app without having to create a Danish number.
- We are incredibly happy that MobilePay is now available in Greenlandic and supports our local phone numbers. This makes the digital everyday life both simpler and more inclusive for our customers, says Ellen Lerch Høj, Business Development Director at the Bank of Greenland and continues:
- This is a concrete example of how strong Nordic collaborations can create solutions that provide value in everyday life – also in a country with very special infrastructural conditions like Greenland. We expect that even more customers will adopt MobilePay now that it all works directly and locally, she says.
Mobilepay became available in 2020 and currently has 27,401 users in Greenland.
