Municipality of Kujalleq enters into a cooperation agreement with Innovation South Greenland and GE South Region

Mayor of Kujalleq Municipality Malene Vahl Rasmussen (D) has, on behalf of the municipality, made an agreement with ISG and GE South Region on business development for the next three years.

Municipality of Kujalleq, Innovation South Greenland and GE Syd Region have entered into a three-party cooperation agreement with the aim of strengthening cooperation in South Greenland based on developments in business and new opportunities.

This is stated by Municipality of Kujalleq in a press release.

In connection with the opening of the new airport in Qaqortoq development in business in South Greenland is expected. The plan is for the parties to meet on an ongoing basis and cooperate to exploit the new opportunities.

The agreement is based on development through cooperation within fishing, hunting, agriculture and food production, raw material extraction, tourism, transport and education.

- I am very pleased that we three parties have entered into this agreement, and I see it as a new starting point for the further development in South Greenland.

- When it comes to development, we will not point fingers at each other, but instead stand together in a strong collaboration. That is why I have great confidence that the agreement will yield good results, says Mayor Malene Vahl Rasmussen.

The agreement was signed by the mayor, the director of ISG, Miki Jensen, and chairman of GE Syd Region Aqqaluk Abelsen on Tuesday, April 21, in the city council chamber in Qaqortoq.
