24-hour report: House fire and sale of cocaine

The Greenland Police have been out to a number of incidents across the country over the past 24 hours.

This is according to the chief of police at the Greenland Police, Aputsiaq Hansen.

In Qaanaaq, the police were called out to a house that was on fire.

- We sent police to the scene, who ensured that no one was in danger, and the fire was extinguished relatively quickly, and there were no injuries, he says.

According to the chief of police, investigations of the scene indicate that it was an accident that caused the fire, and thus there was no criminal activity.

Cocaine on the streets of Nuuk

On Sunday night, the police received a report of possible sale of cocaine in Nuuk. When the police arrived at the scene, they met some people and found cocaine.

A person has been charged for possession of the cocaine, says Aputsiaq Hansen.

In addition, there have been several reports of violence during the day. Most have been alcohol-related and occurred in the home.
