Wednesday 14 January was a historic day for Greenland. Naalakkersuisoq for foreign affairs, Vivian Motzfeldt (S), and the Danish foreign minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, met with the American vice president, J.D. Vance, and the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio for a talk about Greenland's future. Sermitsiaq was behind the lines on the big day. See pictures in the article.

The pressure on both the Danish and Greenlandic delegations has been enormous. Here the Danish ambassador, Jesper Møller Sørensen, and Vivian Motzfeldt meet in a hug.

The press turnout was enormous for the press conference in front of the Danish embassy and the Greenlandic representation.
Vivian Motzfeldt and Lars Løkke Rasmussen are visiting the congress, where they have been invited by the Arctic Caucus, which is an association of congress members who focus on Arctic conditions.
