Helicopter flight from Tasiilaq has been canceled on Friday due to technical problems, Air Greenland reports.

Spare parts have been sent by SAR helicopter, but that hasn't helped the challenges:

- We are very sorry to have to announce that we are still having technical problems with our helicopter in Tasiilaq. A spare part that arrived with the SAR helicopter to Tasiilaq this afternoon unfortunately did not solve the problem, and our technicians are continuing to work on troubleshooting, Air Greenland writes on its website.

Bad flying weather

The helicopter cannot therefore be expected to take off today, Friday.

Air Greenland also informs that poor flying weather is expected over the weekend, which means that the departure between Nuuk and Kulusuk must be moved to Tuesday, January 20.

"We understand that this can be both frustrating and disruptive for travelers and their plans. We are monitoring the situation closely to find a solution as soon as possible and will keep travelers updated as soon as we know more," it says.
