Over the past 24 hours, the police have dealt with a number of alcohol-related incidents, says Chief of Police Aqqalu Petersen.

- It has been a relatively busy day with, among other things, six reports of house disturbances, five reports of street disorder and some reports of drunks and unwanted persons as well as suicide threats, says the Chief of Police.

In the Nuuk district, there was also a case of drunk driving when a man in his 50s was stopped by the police around 7:37 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

The man blew his breathalyzer over the permitted limit and was charged with drunk driving.

The Chief of Police describes the busyness over the past 24 hours as unusual, as it usually happens on weekends.
