Break with Siumut
Vivian Motzfeldt is very experienced in politics. She has experience as a member of the Greenlanders' National Assembly and as chairman of Inatsisartut.
Vivian Motzfeldt announced on March 18 this year that she had broken with Siumut. At the time, she explained that she left the party, with which she had collaborated for more than 20 years, because she disagreed with and opposed Siumut's withdrawal from the coalition.
No longer naalakkersuisoq
Vivian Motzfeldt is no longer naalakkersuisoq after Siumut withdrew from the coalition.
When the Inatsisartut spring session began this year, new naalakkersuisut were appointed. Vivian Motzfeldt is not part of them. Vivian Motzfeldt is the deputy for the Inatsisartut chairman, independent Kim Kielsen.
