Maluk Tiger Christoffersen and Toke Ketwa-Driefer represented Greenland at the VICTOR FZ FORZA Hungarian International Championships 2025, which took place on 29 and 30 October in Hungary. The badminton tournament is part of the BWF International Series, where players from all over the world participate to collect international points and experience.

For the two Greenlandic players, the tournament offered tough competition and close matches. In the men's singles, Toke Ketwa-Driefer was beaten 7/21 and 13/21, while the men's doubles, with Christoffersen and Ketwa-Driefer on the court, ended 13/21 and 14/21. Despite the defeats, there were many positives to take away.

There was even Greenlandic support on the stands, as the chairman of Elitesport Greenland happened to be in Hungary and followed the matches from the stands.

National coach Rune Svenningsen emphasizes both the learning and the pride of competing against some of the world's best.

- The international level is high. Ball control and player pace are crucial, this is where we need to train and improve further. It's great to represent our country and we are proud to show ourselves internationally. The next tournament is in Wales in a few weeks, Rue tells AG.

The two players and the national coach are now looking forward to the next challenge – the upcoming tournament in Wales, where they will once again be fighting for both experience and results on the international stage.
